# Creating New Instance

The process of adding a new instance can differ depending on the product. Some products can be set up for you beforehand, in those cases the whole process will be as easy as to choose a name for your new website. Everything else will be handled for you.

In others, you will be presented with a compact configuration window, where you will be able to customize your installation in more depth.

See how the whole process might look like, below. If one of the steps does not show up for you, continue to the next one, the installation always follows a set order of steps.

# Exemplary workflow

  1. As soon as you log in for the first time, you might be invited to create your first instance. Otherwise, you can find the "Add New Instance" button in the top right corner of your client area page, next to your account menu. Both of these buttons will take you to the same destination.
  1. Select "Create New WordPress Instance" and hit "Continue."
  1. In most cases, you will be presented with a list of website themes to choose from. Take your time browsing, use the "Preview" option to get a better view and when you are satisfied, select the "Use This Theme" option. You can always change your theme later.
  1. If you have more than one hosting service on your account, you will be asked to select which one you want to create the instance on. Pick it from the dropdown menu and continue to "Set Website Name."
  1. Now, you will be able to name your new website, and for some products that will be all you need to do.
For others, like the one used in this example, you can also configure options such as (the difference depneds on the Plan type associated with the selected product):
    • Your Domain including the protocol and the subdirectory
    • Select Clean Installation and its WordPress version or Clone from an existing installation
    • Select the language of the instance
    • Database Name and Prefix
    • Administrator credentials including username, password and email.
You can use the build in password generator here, if you would like.
  1. Hit "Continue" to finish the configuration and have your website set up. It might take up to few minutes. You can safely go back to your dashboard while the installation is in progress and check its status there.

  2. Even after the website is installed, you can still change its configuration by using the "Change Domain" button in the instance details.
